new [old] bike!!! :D

I am SUPER excited to announce that earlier this afternoon I purchased a gorgeous blue-green one-speed antique-ish bike at a second-hand bike shop. It took me 30 minutes to walk there and less than 10 to get back! yay! I have named her Gueneviere, (I should look up how to actually spell that,) because she is pretty. lol. And I don't care that it's a one-speed. Columbus only has one hill and that's the landfill. And I was fine biking all the way back. And lots of people in Columbus have bikes, so I'd say it's a pretty bike-friendly city, i.e. no one gets mad when bikers ride in the streets and stuff. So yeah I'm super excited. And if anything ever happens to the bike I can just take it back to the shop and they'll fix it! yay. Also, my friend Paul had an extra bike lock that he gave me so I didn't have to spend money on that.

Caroline and I have an (illegal--shh!) toaster oven now that we LOVE! The opportunity of toast for breakfast encourages one to actually have breakfast. And everything (pizza rolls, left overs, smore's and other concoctions we think up,) tastes so much better now. :)

In other news, the first round of midterms starts this week, so pray for me on Wednesday 9:30 math, Friday 11:30 physics, and the following monday at 6pm for chemistry.

The weather is beautiful! It is one of those rare fall-feeling days. :) A gentle crispy cool breeze, partly cloudy skies, and colorful leaves that crunch beneath my bike tires. <3 All of us math crazies (as Maria likes to refer to us :) ) are going over to Joe's later to make pumpkin pies! yay. Fortunately this time none of us are limited by vegan-for-a-week dares, so we will actually be using the correct type of ingredients this time lol.

Well I'm going to attempt to get some work done before the festivities begin. Till next time!

:)

epiphany

I am going to stop trying to go through life like a normal person and live like I'm head over heels for Jesus.

new job!

Hey! So everything at OSU is going well. :) I got a job as an OA in my hall (working at the front desk.) So that's cool. It is very convenient, although this means I will have to work some middle-of-the-night hours. But that's okay, I am often awake at odd hours any way.

My classes are in full swing now. My first math and physics problem sets were due last week. They went well, or at least I think they did... I haven't gotten them back yet. Chem is going well. My first quiz is tomorrow. Labs are boring, unfortunately lol. But I am enjoying my classes. Physics and math are especially fun. :D

Caroline and I have a super awesome room. Once I feel that it is complete (we still want to get a few more decorations) I'll take some pictures and put them on here. Our friend James gave us a tv he found in a dumpster that works perfectly well. (We weren't going to have a tv since we don't watch much tv, but we like to watch movies and lap tops don't get very loud.) So then we went to Goodwill and bought a $5 tv stand for our free tv :D and Caroline had a dvd player from last year. We also got a $30 futon from Dump n Run (OSU yard sale)! Seriously. Everyone complements us on our room. Yay! It feels like home. :)

Alright, well I need to go fetch my laundry, do some chemistry, and then sleep.

Love,
Lisa :)
